English Towers is a 10-story high-rise condominium building at 10000 Coasatal Highway in North Ocean City, directly across the street from the Ocean City Public Library. Built in 1974, the building contains 120 units and offers a moderate range of floor plan variety, with two-bedroom and three-bedroom layouts. The building is professionally managed on-site and includes core shared amenities such as an indoor pool, fitness center, security, elevator access, and a private unassigned parking lot.
The building is generally suited to second-home buyers, part-time owners, and owners who plan to use their condo as both a personal property and a short-term rental. Rentals are considered strong here, though seasonal variability and the effect of not having an outdoor pool are factors buyers often weigh, along with differences in view and overall building density. For many buyers, the direct oceanfront setting and the presence of an indoor pool shape how the building is evaluated and used.
Back to section links ↑English Towers offers a balanced set of on-site amenities that support everyday convenience for owners and guests in this oceanfront building in North Ocean City.

English Towers offers a balanced mix of floor plans suited to a range of buyer preferences.
Common unit types include:
Interior layouts, square footage, and finishes vary by unit, floor level, and ownership.
English Towers is often referred to by locals as the ‘Invisible High-Rise,’ and I mean that as a compliment.
It doesn’t get the attention it deserves, but it should. This is a direct oceanfront building where (almost) every unit faces the ocean, which already puts it in a small category.
What really sets English Towers apart is its management. It has some of the best building management in town, and that shows in the condition of the property and the consistency of ownership experience.
The floorplans are excellent, the balconies are usable, and the building lives better than many of its higher-profile neighbors. I love that many people don’t know that this building has 2-stacks of units (the -01 and -02 stacks) located on the ‘back’ of the building. These are the largest floorplans in the building, and while they don’t capture any oceanfront views, the mid-to-higher floor ones certainly get some great bay views!
I genuinely enjoy bringing clients to this building, especially when it wasn’t on their original list, because it often ends up being a pleasant surprise.
English Towers is proof that sometimes the best buildings aren’t the loudest ones. They’re the ones that quietly do everything right.
English Towers is typically best suited for:
Some of the most common mistakes buyers make when evaluating English Towers include:
English Towers allows short-term rentals and is generally positioned as a building with strong rental potential. It is commonly considered by owners who plan to use their condo part time while also making it available for rental use, with the understanding that rental demand can vary seasonally.
The building’s direct oceanfront setting in North Ocean City, moderate amenity package, and moderate name recognition all support rental use at a general level. Rentals are expected to do well here, though the lack of an outdoor pool can have some effect on nightly rent rates, so buyers should evaluate unit-specific factors, seasonal patterns, and overall building characteristics as part of their due diligence.
Homeowner association fees at English Towers vary based on unit size and location. HOA fees generally contribute to building maintenance, amenity upkeep, insurance, management, and common area utilities.
Parking policies, pet rules, and rental guidelines should be reviewed during the contract process, as association policies may evolve over time.
English Towers generally sees a low level of market activity, which can make individual resale opportunities less frequent within the building. Buyer interest is typically tied to its direct oceanfront location in North Ocean City, its high-rise format, and its moderate level of name recognition, with appeal coming from a mix of second-home buyers, part-time owners, and buyers focused on water views and rental flexibility.
Within the building, pricing differences are often shaped by factors such as view orientation, unit type, and the specifics of an individual condo rather than the building alone. Buyers tend to evaluate opportunities by looking closely at how one unit differs from another, including view expectations, layout, and how the building’s moderate amenity package and overall scale fit their priorities.
English Towers is conveniently located near many popular North Ocean City destinations, including:
English Towers usually comes into play after someone has walked through Irene or Rainbow. Irene has the dual balconies and long history. Rainbow feels more contained despite being a high-rise. Plaza and Golden Sands bring stronger name recognition and bigger scale. Marigot Beach has its own unique ownership story. English Towers just quietly delivers full oceanfront across the board and extremely strong management. It’s rarely the flashiest option on the list, but it surprises people in a good way.
